General conditions

Article 1 - Definitions.

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions shall apply:

  • Entrepreneur: Huisbest.nl, which offers products to consumers at a distance.
  • Consumer: the natural person who is not acting for a profession or business and concludes a distance contract with the entrepreneur.
  • Remote Agreement: an agreement involving the exclusive use of means of distance communication within an organized distance sales system.
  • Reflection period: the period within which the consumer can exercise the right of withdrawal.
  • Right of Withdrawal: the consumer's ability to waive the contract within the cooling-off period.

Article 3 - Applicability.

  1. These general terms and conditions apply to all offers of Huisbest.nl and to every distance contract with the consumer.
  2. The terms and conditions are available on the website and can be saved.

Article 4 - The offer

  1. The offer is non-binding.
  2. Obvious errors or mistakes do not bind Huisbest.nl.
  3. The offer contains clear information about price, delivery time and right of withdrawal, among other things.

Article 5 - The Agreement

  1. The agreement is established as soon as the consumer accepts the offer.
  2. In the case of an electronic order, the consumer will receive an e-mail confirmation.

Article 6 - Right of withdrawal

  1. Consumers may revoke a purchase within 14 days of receipt without giving reasons.
  2. The cooling-off period starts the day after the consumer receives the product.
  3. The consumer handles the product carefully and tests it only as would be possible in a physical store.

Article 7 - Costs and depreciation in the event of withdrawal

  1. The return costs from the consumer to Huisbest.nl are at his own expense.
  2. Huisbest.nl will refund the full order amount including shipping costs no later than 14 days after notification of the withdrawal, provided that the product has been received or the consumer has demonstrated that it has been returned.
  3. Impairment:
    If the product is damaged or has traces of use beyond what is allowed within the cooling-off period, depreciation may be charged.
  4. After reporting the return, the consumer has 14 days to return the product.

Article 8 - Exclusion of the right of withdrawal.

The right of withdrawal can be excluded for products:

  • manufactured according to consumer specifications;
  • that have a personal character;
  • The seal of which has been broken for hygienic reasons.

Article 9 - Prices

  1. All prices include VAT and exclude shipping unless otherwise stated.
  2. Price changes due to VAT adjustments or other factors are permitted.

Article 10 - Conformity and warranty

  1. Huisbest.nl guarantees that products comply with the agreement and legal requirements.
  2. Legal warranty applies.
  3. Additional manufacturer's warranty applies if applicable.

Article 11 - Delivery and execution

  1. Huisbest.nl uses care when placing orders.
  2. Delivery is made to the address provided by the consumer within the EU.
  3. Estimated delivery time: 3-5 business days.
  4. If there is a delay, the consumer will be informed and can cancel free of charge.

Article 12 - Dropshipping via external suppliers

  1. Huisbest.nl uses dropshipping through suppliers within the EU.
  2. Products can be shipped from multiple warehouses.
  3. Return processing may be through partners.
  4. In case of structural delivery problems, Huisbest.nl will offer an alternative product or refund.

Article 13 - Payment

  1. Payment is made in advance via payment methods offered.
  2. Huisbest.nl may cancel an order if fraud is suspected.

Article 14 - Complaints procedure

  1. Complaints should preferably be reported by e-mail to info@huisbest.nl. Please include your order details.
  2. Huisbest.nl will respond with a substantive response within 14 days.
  3. If a complaint cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the consumer can turn to WebwinkelKeur (www.webwinkelkeur.nl), which mediates free of charge. Check at https://www.webwinkelkeur.nl/leden/ to see if Huisbest.nl has a current membership.
  4. If mediation does not lead to a solution, the consumer can submit the dispute to the independent dispute committee appointed by WebwinkelKeur. The ruling is binding for both parties. There are costs associated with handling which are paid by the consumer.

Article 15 - Disputes

Only Dutch law applies to agreements. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent Dutch court.


Article 16 - Privacy

Huisbest.nl processes personal data according to the privacy statement on the website and complies with the AVG.
